In addition to providing the highest levels of security, Smart Guardian is remarkably easy and convenient to use, automatically encrypting any data transferred to it.
By requiring something the user has – the USB token – and something the user knows – a pass code – Smart Guardian is even able to provide two-factor authentication, ensuring that even if the device is lost or stolen, only authorized users are able to access the information. Any attempt to tamper with the device can be detected and intrusion attempts cause the Smart Guardian token to zero-out its contents.
The Smart Guardian device combines proven secure smart card technology from Gemalto and secure flash technology from Lexar. Its management options make the Smart Guardian easy for end-users and administrators to register new devices, update software on the devices, deploy protected corporate applications, and remotely block a lost or stolen token and destroy its contents.
