SafesITe 72K Tri-Interface PIV Smart Card
Gemalto’s SafesITe 72K Tri-Interface Java-based PIV Smart Card (soon to be rebranded under the Protiva name) is ideal for public sector agencies or government contractors looking for a PKI capable smart card that complies with the FIPS-201 standard as mandated under HSPD-12. For end-users, the SafesITe Trusted PKI Card offers a convenient and portable authentication device for access to facilities, networks and IT resources, and for utilization of Public Key Infrastructure applications such as digital signature, encryption and other security services. This “all-in-one” smart card provides contact and contactless (ISO 14443) interfaces and integrates a 125kHz contactless technology to meet the needs of customers who require an HSPD-12 credential and also have legacy 125 KHz contactless card readers deployed within their organization.
