The Argus 2500 is a dual socket PC Card reader/writer that is installed in the 3.5" or 5.25" drive bay of a desktop computer. The Argus 2500 interfaces with the PC via a PCI bus board that is provided with the 2500.

The Argus 2500 supports two Type I/II PC Cards or one Type III PC Card in addition to providing support for various PCMCIA devices including compact flash, static RAM, serial, parallel, fax/modem, NIC, and ATA devices for flexibility depending on individual security requirements.

The Argus Series FORTEZZA PC Card Reader/Writers work with all certified FORTEZZA Crypto Cards, including the Moniker® Crypto Card. Argus Series Reader/Writers provide enhanced security for applications such as access control, secure communications, and electronic signatures. For more demanding applications, the Argus Series is available with the Multi-Access CI Library (MACI Library) to provide concurrent server support for multiple and/or multi-threaded applications accessing various cryptographic devices. With multi-tasking operating systems, several applications can be run concurrently while utilizing one or multiple FORTEZZA PC Cards.
