- Customer financial information
- Social Security number
- Credit Card numbers
- Account numbers and balance transfers
- Salary and Compensation Data
- Any other critical information
Ceelox SecureMail can be easily configured to encrypt these sensitive emails according to your company policy.
The Ceelox SecureMail Outlook plug-in easily integrates with existing email infrastructures and today's most popular email system. Ceelox SecureMail enables you to securely deliver sensitive information, and to proactively keep confidential information and data from prying eyes.
With Ceelox SecureMail biometric or two-factor authentication modes, access to encrypted information is significantly more secure than PKI solutions with password-only encrypted keys.
How it Works
Ceelox SecureMail streamlines the sending and recieving of encrypted email communications.
The Ceelox SecureMail plug-in deploys quickly, requires no ongoing administration, and operates in conjunction with existing email transports systems. Ceelox SecureMail users can send encrypted messages to anyone with an email address, whether they use Ceelox SecureMail or not.
Ceelox SecureMail first authenticates the sender by requesting one of four authentication preferences sey by your company policy. These are:
- Password Only
- Biometric fingerprint scan only
- User choice of fingerprint or password, or
- Both fingerprint and password required
Once Ceelox SecureMail authenticates the sender and encrypts the message. Your existing email system delivers it to the intended recipient. The Ceelox SecureMail database stores the creation and destination information of each message for reporting and tracking purposes.
When the encrypted email is delivered, the reciever decrypts the email text and/or its attachments after authenticating to the host database using one of the four authentication modes. The database recogonizes the Ceelox SecureMail, marks it as recieved, and authenticates the recipient. Ceelox SecureMail then decrypts the message text into plain text and the attached files are decrypted to their original format for launching or storing.
Ceelox SecureMail messages and their attachments stored Outlook will always remain in their encrypted state and will be indecipherable by others. This is a key benifit over competitive solutions that store decrypted email in the open on the desktop or require an added cost option to secure email at the desktop level.
