Gemalto .NET technology is the heart of this
multi-application device allowing organizations to deploy one-time password
and certificate based strong authentication under one form factor.
The SA .NET Key offers all the power of a multi-application dynamic smart
card in a USB device, ideal for users who require a combination of security
and portability. Working in a connected mode, the SA .NET Key leverages
Gemalto's .NET smart card technology. The device houses a Gemalto .NET smart
card in the small cardlet™ format that can easily be inserted and removed.
The device generates a one-time password and automatically fills in the
one-time password field on a logon window. In addition to providing
two-factor authentication, the .NET smart card supports certificate-based
services in Microsoft’s .NET framework. It is natively supported in Windows
Vista™ making smart cards easy to deploy and seamless to use without
requiring any additional software or middleware.
Remote access and certificate-based services
Gemalto .NET end-user devices are also interoperable with Windows® operating
systems, Microsoft ILM 2007 and other components in Microsoft’s security
platform. The Gemalto .NET smart card is natively supported in Windows Vista
and Server 2008 and supported via Windows Update for Windows XP & Server
2003. This makes it easy to deploy and manage strong authentication and PKI
systems without additional software or middleware.
