Envoy Data plays integral role in OpenTrust partnership
Partnership will help ensure patient record confidentiality
ARIZONA - OpenTrust, the Next-Gen IT security software publisher, announced a key partnership between it and a major healthcare organization in the United States.
Envoy Data, a leading specialty distributor of IT security solutions and storage products in North America, helped facilitate the partnership with the well-respected, nonprofit teaching hospital.
The New Jersey based healthcare organization chose OpenTrust to develop an IT security system which will control access to sensitive data, including patient records, in its network. The security solution will produce up to 2,000 unique user certificates for hospital personnel.
Before accessing confidential patient records, hospital staff will use a smart card to verify their identity with the local network.
