Small-Medium Business Solutions.
Strong Authentication: is associated with two-factor authentication or more generally multi-factor authentication. Soliciting multiple answers to challenge questions may be considered strong authentication but, unless the process also retrieves 'something you have' or 'something you are', it would not be considered multi-factor.
The FFIEC issued supplemental guidance, in which they clarified, "By definition true multifactor authentication requires the use of solutions from two or more of the three categories of factors. Using multiple solutions from the same category ... would not constitute multifactor authentication."
Small to Medium businesses are under the umbrella of security concerns. Those companies who are not big enough to be covered by government regulations still need to comply with many of these rules, if they work with larger partners who do.
Envoy Data provides solutions for Small and Medium Businesses. Utilizing our relationships with our partners, it has never been easier or more cost effective to set-up secure and reliable IT Solutions.
Envoy will work with your IT department to discern your security practices, policies, and habits to offer solutions that are cost-effective and easy to implement.

1. Smart Card Management
A healthcare professional logs into an authorized, secure work station using a smart card and smart card reader, and their password. Using this two-factor authentication assures that the bearer has been authorized to access this secure systems. Using the credentials on the card, the user will have access to all of the workstations in the facility. The user can then go to any computer in the facility and insert his/her smart card to access their smooth roaming desktop.
2. PKI Management
Once the card is inserted into the workstation, the server issues digital identities for all entries, users, devices, and applications. The credentials on the smart card are verified by the public key infrastructure to ensure that the user is active and authorized within the system. These credentials give the user rights and priviledges throughout the facility.
3. Digital Certification Validation
Validation Authority offers additional protection and compliance by ensuring revoked or invalid credentials cannot be used for secure email, smart card login, network access (including wireless), or other sensitive electronic transactions.
4. Key Management
In order to increase the security of the infrastructure, a Hardware Security Module is used to manage digital keys, digital signings, and provide strong authentication. The module enforces separation of duties with two-factor authentication to simplify compliance audits. In working with PKI, HSM's assure the integrity of the digital identities, allow the operation of PKIs across the infrastructure by protecting signing keys in offline and online certificate authorities.
5. Card Management System
Card Management System manages the issuance and administration requirements of successful smart card deployments. This system will manage authentication devices (e.g., smart cards and smart USB tokens), data (e.g., static passwords, biometrics, and demographic data), applets (e.g. one-time password applications and Personal Identity Verification [PIV] applets), and digital credentials (including public key infrastructure [PKI] certificates) throughout their entire life cycle.
7. File Transfer & Encryption
Files are safely transferred throughout the infrastructure with the File Transfer Direct Module. This appliance, defines policies and adds security and audit trails critical to corporate goverance for exchange of very large files. Additionally, using data loss prevention, this appliance prevents accidental data leakage of sensitive and proprrietary information over email.
6. Software Encryption
Software Encryption delivers compliance-ready data encryption and security through a single console for all endpoint devices, including external media. Using a centrally-managed solution that provides data-centered, policy-based protection across all data endpoints, ensures a minimal impact on operational processes and the user experience.
